justVisual 2

justVisual 2 is a databaseless XML-based content management system for small or medium-sized web sites. justVisual enables support for multiple languages.

Its default implementation provides no user-generated content like comments or topics.

However, the system can be expanded on through plugins to become dynamic. An example of such an extension is the search plugin included in the package.

One of the advantages that justVisual offers is the decrease in hosting costs. You can use it on hosting services that lack database support or even – by downloading as static website – server language support.

Server requirement:  PHP 5

I would like to use justvisual2 for a local organisation’s website. Dont understand how to set the write permissions to folders:
    /model
    /www/content_images
    /logs
Please could you explain (I’m a bit new to this). Can I have a multi-column site with this system – I can write the CSS myself – should I do this by putting the user editable area in an iframe on a static page?
Also is there a plugin I can use to let the client upload pdfs to their pages for users to view and save or print?

    Dear Anita,
unfortunately, the project that justVisual2 was developed for is stopped now.
At this moment, there are no additional plugins. I hope it will be continued in the future.
